Caren Goldberg

Caren Goldberg, chief development officer, leads the effort to create permanent resources to enhance and sustain Jewish life through planned giving and endowment development.  She works with individuals and families as well as professional advisors to assist in the achievement of their philanthropic goals.  An attorney by profession, Caren joined the Foundation in 1996, served as the director of planned giving and endowments and was named executive director in 2011.  Through her support, guidance and leadership, the Foundation has grown from $60 million to $140 million in assets.  Throughout her tenure, Caren has developed and implemented successful new programs including the Charitable Gift Annuity program, Book of Life program, and most recently, the Create a Jewish Legacy program. Caren received her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Madison. She served as a judicial law clerk to the Chief Judge of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals for two years and practiced law in the area of commercial litigation with private law firms in the Milwaukee area for 10 years prior to joining the Foundation.
