Where the Money Goes
The Milwaukee Jewish Federation’s Annual Campaign helps sustain a vibrant Jewish community. We distribute most of the donations from our annual campaign to ten agencies that serve our local community and three national agencies that serve our people in Israel and around the world. We also use a portion of the resources to fund Federation programs and services that help maintain a strong community as a whole.

Local Partner Agencies
Bader Hillel Academy offers programs that combine Jewish tradition and a vibrant secular studies curriculum focusing on the development of each child.
BBYO – Wisconsin Region strives to provide teens with a platform of compelling experiences that foster a love for and connection with Jewish life.
Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center offers a wide variety of health, fitness, spa, enrichment, cultural and recreational programs for individuals and families of all ages and abilities, in addition to early childhood education and an array of quality camping experiences.
Hillel Milwaukee offers social, cultural, religious, educational, Israel awareness and social action activities for Jewish students at area colleges and universities.
Hillel Foundation – UW Madison provides Jewish support and programming for college students and offers them a wide variety of Jewish enrichment, advocacy and social justice activities.
Jewish Beginnings Lubavitch Preschool provides our youngest students with a love of learning and a deep joy and appreciation of our Jewish heritage.
Jewish Family Services provides supportive services that strengthen families, children and individuals throughout the life cycle within the context of their unique needs and traditions.
Milwaukee Jewish Day School is an independent co-educational day school offering Jewish children an exceptional high school preparatory, Hebrew and Jewish education.
Ovation Communities offers active living programs and resources for older adults . Annual Campaign dollars support programs that help seniors socialize and improve brain health as they age.
Yeshiva Elementary School is the only Jewish day school in the West Side Sherman Park neighborhood offering a comprehensive approach designed to meet the full spectrum of the child’s and family’s needs.

American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) is the world’s largest Jewish humanitarian assistance organization, working in Israel and more than 80 countries to alleviate hunger and hardship, rescue Jews in danger, create lasting connections to Jewish life and provide relief for victims of disasters.
American Jewish World Service is the leading Jewish organization working to fight poverty and pursue justice in the developing world. Through philanthropy and advocacy, they respond to the most pressing issues of our time—from disasters, genocide and hunger, to the persecution of women and minorities worldwide.
Birthright Israel aims to ensure a vibrant future of the Jewish people by strengthening Jewish identity, Jewish communities and connections with Israel via a trip to Israel for the majority of Jewish young adults from around the world.
Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) works around the world to protect refugees who have been forced to flee their homelands because of who they are, including ethnic, religious, and sexual minorities.
Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) serves as the link between the Jewish people and Israel, working to ensure the future of a connected, committed global Jewish people with a strong Israel at its center.
Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) represents 157 Jewish Federations and over 300 Network communities, which raise and distribute more than $3 billion annually for social welfare, social services and educational needs.
World ORT is a global education network driven by Jewish values that is passionate about unleashing the potential of young people so they can lead fulfilling lives and have a positive impact on the world around them.

Coalition for Jewish Learning promotes and advances Jewish education in our community by providing resources, teacher training and other support.
Israel Center builds and strengthens connections between Israel and our local community by disseminating information about Israel, coordinates educational programs and involved in advocacy and fundraising efforts.
Jewish Community Foundation is the Jewish community’s central address for charitable and estate planning activities.
Jewish Community Relations Council advocates for the rights and values of Jews individually and collectively, locally and abroad through education, social action and advocacy.
Jewish Museum Milwaukee is dedicated to preserving and presenting the history of the Jewish people in southeastern Wisconsin and celebrating the continuum of Jewish heritage and culture.
Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center offers programming centered on Holocaust education and remembrance.
Outreach and Engagement initiatives helps people find their place in our Jewish community. Shalom Milwaukee, Shalom Baby and J-Pride Milwaukee – LGBT Jewish and Allies are a few of our programs that welcome Jewish newcomers.
Teen Philanthropy Board is a community-wide program that engages Jewish teens in a communal giving and learning effort to achieve our goal of Tikkun Olam, “repairing the world”.
The Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle is Wisconsin’s only monthly Jewish community newspaper. Published continuously since 1921, The Chronicle covers social events, people and issues relevant to Jewish communities in Milwaukee and Wisconsin.
Women’s Philanthropy empowers women to become philanthropists by providing women the knowledge to assert their power through philanthropic giving, the skills and confidence to assume positions of responsibility in their communities, and the opportunities to develop and enhance their personal networking and leadership skills.
NextGen helps ensure that the Milwaukee Jewish community goes from strength to strength across the generations by developing the skills they need to guide our community into the future and by providing them with social, volunteer, philanthropic and networking opportunities.
