House Resolution 657 and Senate Resolution 498 passed unanimously, reaffirming U.S. bipartisan support for Israel’s right to defend itself and calling on Hamas to cease its rocket attacks on Israeli civilians. Please call or email our elected officials and thank them for their support of Israel’s right to self-defense and for their support of funding for the Iron Dome missile defense system. Share your message of support in the media.

You can share a message of support for Israel by writing a letter to the editor, by responding to information posted online or in social media, and by calling in to radio shows. Consider using these suggested talking points from the Jewish Federations of North American and the Jewish Council for Public Affairs.

Share a personal story.

As Israel’s conflict with Hamas continues, we at the Milwaukee Jewish Federation are sharing personal accounts from people with direct ties to loved ones who are affected or from people in Israel. This conflict is about human beings, and we need to hear real stories about real people enduring this real conflict. So,

• if you have a loved one in Israel; or
• if you have changed your travel plans because of the conflict; or
• if you know people in Israel who have a Milwaukee connection,
