Shalom’s Rabbi Emeritus Ronald M. Shapiro leads this new summer class!
The class will discuss the contributions made by outstanding Jewish people, and the dynamics of life and history which elevated them to
the esteemed notoriety they attained. Some of the personalities discussed include: Albert Einstein, Groucho Marx, Samuel Gompers,
Moses Mendelsohn, Felix Mendelsohn, Golda Meir, David Ben-Gurion, Theodore Herzl, Emma Lazarus, and others. The Jewish people have contributed to the advancement of culture, medicine, music, entertainment, philosophy and science. It is interesting to discuss the
extraordinary dynamics which lifted them to the international stage. Class meets for eight consecutive Mondays beginning July 24 (no class on August 21). FREE and open to all. Wine and appetizers will be served.
