International Partners

A portion of the dollars raised by our Annual Campaign are used to strengthen our connection with Israel and to improve lives for Jews around the world. Our funds are put to work by the American Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) and the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI).

JDC is the world’s leading Jewish humanitarian assistance organization, impacting millions of lives in more than 70 countries today. JAFI connects Jews with Israel, with one another, with their heritage and with our collective future.

Funds from the Annual Campaign also bring Israel to Milwaukee through this Israel Center, which is supported by JAFI. Here are some examples of how the Israel Center impacted our community in 2013.

• Distributed $15,500 in scholarships to help students study in Israel
• Created Israel Center programming enjoyed by 2,700 participants
• Connected 830 children to Israel through our Shin-Shinim
• Engaged 1,300 individuals in observances of Yom HaShoah, Yom HaZikaron and Yom HaAtzmaut
