Lion of Judah and Pomegranate Societies
Lion of Judah
The Lion of Judah is a national symbol of women's philanthropy and commitment to making a difference in the lives of Jews at home and around the world. The Lion of Judah (Aryeh Yehuda) has long symbolized strength and majesty in the Jewish world. It empowers women to take active roles in securing our Jewish future and to forge new opportunites for creative philanthropic giving. The Lion of Judah is the symbol for a woman's independent gift of $5000 or more.
Pomegranate
The Pomegranate is much more than a giving level. The Midrash tells us that the pomegranate has 613 seeds, corresponding with the number of mitzvot, or commandments, found in the Torah. The Pomegranate is the symbol for a woman's independent gift of $1800.
Elegant, nationally recognized pins are available to show off your commitment to the Women’s Campaign. A Pomegranate pin can be purchased for $150 (plus additional costs for addition of rubies). A basic Lion of Judah pin can be purchased for $550 (plus additional costs for gems). Contact Lauren Berger if you are interested in making a purchase.
