Happy 75th Birthday Israel!
The Faces & Voices of Israel event series is here to launch the commemoration of Israel’s 75th anniversary as a nation through the art of storytelling. All events will offer a unique glimpse into various aspects of Israeli life and are open to the community.
The Faces & Voices of Israel event series leads into our annual series of three special days — Yamim — for our community to come together to honor the resilience and miraculous journey of the Jewish people. Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), Yom HaZikaron (Israel’s Day of Remembrance), and Yom HaAtzmaut (Israeli Independence Day), together called Yamim or “days,” reflect the great journey of the Jewish people — from slavery to freedom, from victimization to sovereignty.
Please join us for entertainment and learning experiences that will culminate with commemoration and celebration for Israel’s 75th!

NextGen Comedy Night with Noam Shuster-Eliassi
Join MJF’s NextGen for an evening with acclaimed Israeli comedian Noam Shuster-Eliassi. Enjoy a laugh with Noam as she addresses controversial topics through comedy. The show is laugh-out-loud hilarious and aims to entertain Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike. You won’t want to miss this one!

About Chanshi: A girl from the Jewish community, immigrates to Israel and embarks on a wild journey, but the transition from a life with clear rules to a life without any rules at all, throws her into a whirlwind of life experiences.

About Rabbanit Mirvis:
Shira grew up in Jerusalem to parents who made Aliyah from Morocco. She has studied Torah in the Matan Women’s Institute for Torah Studies, the Women’s Beit Midrash of Efrat and Gush Etzion, Midreshet Lindenbaum’s Women’s Institute for Halakhic Leadership, and Beit Hillel’s Beit Midrash for Communal Leadership. In addition, she holds a BA in Psychology and Information Sciences from Bar-Ilan University.
