Teen Mifgash – Teen Mifgash is summer student exchange program for 16- and 17-year-olds from Milwaukee and from Sovev Kinneret. They experience the differences and similarities in each other’s communities and make one-to-one connections that strengthen their Jewish identities. This program is organized in cooperation with Israel Center of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center. Na’ale – Na’ale, also called Elite Academy, is a Jewish high school that draws students from around the world. Students in 10th-grade can register for three years of tuition-free Israeli high school, leading to an Israeli “matriculation” diploma. Visit Na’ale.
Birthright – Are you 22 – 26? Connect with your peers from the Milwaukee area on this 10-day excursion. This trip is a gift from Taglit-Birthright Israel. Kibbutz Programs – The Kibbutz Program Center connects young adults across the United States and Canada with short- and long-term experiences on kibbutzim in Israel. Programs may focus on areas like Hebrew language, social activism, peace and co-existence, environmentalism — all experienced while living within the unique society of a kibbutz. Onward Israel – This JAFI program gives young adults an opportunity to spend 6-10 weeks in Israel, building their resumes and getting to know the Jewish state in a deeper way. Onward offers internships, service-learning, academic study, and fellowships, in cooperation with Jewish organizations and communities overseas. In this highly-subsidized program, participants come from the same community or organization, allowing the creation of local networks and to maintain connections after the program.
