Staff
Tziporah Altman-Shafer is the Jewish Education Community Planner for the Milwaukee Jewish Federation. A part of her role is a director of the Coalition for Jewish Learning, the education department of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation. CJL supports high quality Jewish education throughout the greater Milwaukee area. Tziporah is also part of the Impact Team at Milwaukee Jewish Federation. She helps with planning and allocations, especially as they are connected to education.
Prior to joining the Federation, Tziporah spent 14 years teaching in Milwaukee area Jewish schools and camps. For ten years before moving back to Milwaukee, she worked as a Jewish Education Director and Family Educator in Phoenix, Chattanooga, and Cleveland. Tziporah holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Hebrew and Women’s Studies and an MA in Jewish Education from the Cleveland College of Jewish Studies.
