Marc Lasry is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Avenue Capital Group, a global alternative investment manager focused on distressed and undervalued debt and equity opportunities in the U.S., Europe and Asia. In 1995, Mr. Lasry formed Avenue with his sister Sonia Gardner with less than $10 million in capital from friends and family. Today, Avenue is one of the largest distressed debt investors globally, managing assets of approximately $14.1 billion, with headquarters in New York City, and offices in London, Luxembourg, Madrid, Munich and four offices throughout Asia. Mr. Lasry is known as a pioneer in distressed investing which has been the focus of his professional career for over 30 years.
Matthew Bronfman is Chairman of the Board of Directors at Bronfman E.L. Rothschild, formerly Baker Tilly Investment Advisors LP. He is Chairman and CEO of BHB Holdings LLC, an investment company with numerous interests. He is one of the controlling shareholders of the Israel Discount Bank and of Supersal, Israel’s largest supermarket chain. Prior to starting BHB, he was partner at ACI Capital, a private equity firm. Mr. Bronfman’s philanthropic interests include chairing the Teamwork Foundation.
John W. Daniels, Jr., a Harvard Law graduate and product of Milwaukee Public Schools, is the Chairman Emeritus at Quarles & Brady LLP and has been recognized as one of the 50 most influential minority lawyers in the nation. He is on the Board of Directors of BMO Financial Corp, and board chair for the Greater Milwaukee Committee. He is currently helping orchestrate the revitalization of downtown Milwaukee.
Katherine M. Gehl is the fourth generation President and CEO at Gehl Foods, Inc., following 15 years both in the public and private sectors in Chicago. She leads the development and execution of Gehl Foods aggressive growth strategy thereby creating jobs and bringing business to Wisconsin. Katherine has served on numerous boards including the Faye Gehl Conservation Foundation, the Joffrey Ballet and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation – a position for which she was nominated by President Obama and confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
