Nathan & Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center

The Nathan & Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center, a program of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, is dedicated to Holocaust remembrance, education and the preservation of the memory of its victims. By teaching about the Holocaust, HERC aims to promote awareness of the evils of hatred and prejudice and to inspire ethical behavior. HERC brings free Holocaust education programs to public and private schools, offers educational tools and training to teachers, operates a speaker’s bureau and commemorates the Holocaust through special programs including its annual observance of Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day).

Lorranie Cohen Music Collection

In the fall of 2010, Milwaukee pianist and Jewish music expert Lorraine Cohen donated her collection of sheet music to the Coalition for Jewish Learning. The collection contains many anthologies and works of Jewish music. It is located on the second floor of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation Helfaer Building at 1360 N. Prospect Avenue in Milwaukee. It is recommended that those interested in utilizing or viewing the collection contact Brittany Hager at 414-963-2710 or brittanyh@milwaukeejewish.org to arrange an appointment.
