Welcome home for the Holy Days!  Join Rabbi Cohen, Cantor Newman and all of us at Sinai! We have creative and meaningful opportunities for the Holy Days such as: a Rosh Hashanah Seder and reimagined services that are egalitarian and include English and Hebrew. You will experience beautiful uplifting High Holy Day music with our Cantor and Choir! Come hear the Shofar blown from our rooftop and see the Torah unrolled in its entirety. You may choose to worship in-person or remotely via live stream.

The safety of our Sinai community is paramount. Congregation Sinai encourages masks for in-person worship. Should the public health situation change, plans at Sinai are subject to change at any moment.  All High Holy Day information may be found by visiting: https://www.congregationsinai.org/hhd2022
We would love for you to join us! Simply contact Jen Friedman at 414-352-2970 or email jfriedman@congregtionsinai.org. Ask about the Gift of Sinai!

At Sinai we are…INTIMATE.  Sinai provides the opportunity to have a sacred partnership with our rabbi, cantor, educator, staff and each other. INCLUSIVE. Sinai’s doors and hearts are open. Born Jewish, Jew-By-Choice or Interfaith. We are a multi-culturally sensitive congregation and will meet you where you are. INNOVATIVE.  Sinai uses Judaism’s most cherished values to make innovative change in today’s world. INTENTIONAL.  Sinai is warm and welcoming.  All ages gather to worship, question, learn, comfort and celebrate together. Beth Israel Center warmly welcomes guests, visitors and members to our lively, traditional, fully egalitarian services on Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, and Simchat Torah. Prayer services are mostly in Hebrew, and we proudly use the Lev Shalem Mahzor and Siddur, known for their contemporary translations, ample transliteration, and abundant notes and supplementary readings (in English). This year’s services will be in person and viewable online. Tickets are required to attend in person; contact the office for details. Service times and program descriptions are on our website, www.bethisraelcenter.org/high-holy-days.
Links for online services and programs are routinely emailed out to members and others who have subscribed to our emails. To request emails or links, email office@bethisraelcenter.org

Our services combine traditional prayers with contemporary poetry, readings, and songs. Most of our services this year will be held virtually on Zoom. Pre-registration is required for all events. We are participatory and encourage our members and friends to lead elements of the service, sing along, share English readings, chant Torah and Haftarah, and blow shofar. Our services last several hours; we encourage you to take breaks as needed. Many people come and go throughout these days. Tickets are never required, and all are welcome.
