Yamim 2018: From Generation to Generation

Yom HaShoah, Yom HaZikaron and Yom HaAtzmaut, together called Yamim or “days,” reflect the great journey of the Jewish people — from slavery to freedom, from victimization to sovereignty. This year we focus on passing our story from generation to generation. Passing our story is our way of fulfilling our duty to remember and commemorate through the generations. We continue to pass our people’s sense of pride and joy from one generation to the next. “For a people that doesn’t know its past, its present is dull and its future is shrouded with uncertainty,” (Yigal Alon, 1918-1980).
