2023 Passover Food Drive

“Let all who are hungry come and eat”

The Community Food Drive is happening again this year! Food will be collected March 12 – 28 at several sites throughout the community. Distribution will be April 2.

Thank you to the dedicated Passover Food Drive volunteers and staff who helped pack and deliver Passover food bags to Jewish community members last year! Every bag that was packed was delivered to a grateful recipient. Together, we managed to deliver over 400 food bags to our community.

The Community Passover Food Drive (Ma’ot Chittim) is collecting monetary donations to fund this important work. Please donate below.

Receive Help

  • Please pre-register before picking up.
  • Register here or by clicking the button above
  • Food will be picked up at one of three locations or will be delivered; social distancing will be observed
  • Passover food includes: kosher chicken, matzah, grape juice, matzah ball soup mix, gefilte fish, horseradish, and candles
  • The last day to request food is March 29, 2023.

Pick up locations on April 2 between 10 am – 12pm:

  • North Shore: Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun, 2020 W. Brown Deer Rd., River Hills, WI 53217
  • East Side: Hillel Milwaukee, 3053 N. Stowell Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53211
  • Central City: Jewish Community Food Pantry, 2900 W. Center St, Milwaukee, WI 53210

Give Help

  • March 31: packing bags from 9-11 am at the Jewish Community Pantry
  • April 2: packing and distributing bags throughout the community, starting point is the Jewish Community Pantry; volunteers may be given a route. Drivers needed, families welcome. Shifts from 8:45 am – 12:15 pm.

  • Maot Chitim, distributing food for Passover, is a special mitzvah
