It’s time to bring our community together to both show solidarity as a community, and to learn about what is actually happening on the ground.

Yossi Klein Halevi is a senior fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem and co-director of the Institute’s Muslim Leadership Initiative (MLI), which teaches emerging young Muslim American leaders about Judaism, Jewish identity and Israel. His latest book, Letters to My Palestinian Neighbor, is a New York Times bestseller. He writes for leading op-ed pages in the US, including the Times and the Wall Street Journal, and is a former contributing editor to the New Republic.
Rabbi Nir Barkin, a sixth generation Jerusalemite, was Milwaukee’s community shaliach from 1999 to 2003. His encounter with Reform Judaism in Milwaukee inspired him to enroll in the Israeli rabbinic program of Hebrew Union College, and he was ordained in 2007. He now serves as senior rabbi and executive director at Kehillat Yozma in Modi’in, Israel. Nir is also a leader in the movement to bring progressive Judaism to Israel.
