Ro’ee Peled

Ro’ee Peled is our community shaliach, or cultural emissary, from Israel. Born and raised on a kibbutz in Northern Israel, Ro’ee works to build meaningful connections between Milwaukeeans and his homeland. He carries on a long tradition of shlichut at the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, which has the oldest continuous Shlichut program in the United States. Prior to serving as the shaliach in Milwaukee, Ro’ee served as the shaliach through Habonim Dror and the Jewish Agency for Israel. He also served as the co-director of Givat Haviva’s Face to Face program, which develops relationships between Israeli Jewish and Arab high school students. Ro’ee holds a bachelor’s degree from Tel Aviv University and a master’s degree from Hebrew University.
