Holocaust Education
The Nathan & Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center, a program of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, is dedicated to Holocaust remembrance, education and the preservation of the memory of its victims. By teaching about the Holocaust, HERC aims to promote awareness of the evils of hatred and prejudice and to inspire ethical behavior.
HERC brings free Holocaust education programs to public and private schools, offers educational tools and training to teachers, operates a speaker’s bureau and commemorates the Holocaust through special programs including its annual observance of Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day).
